They serve as constituents of the connective tissue’s fundamental substance. It is considered effective for the treatment of joint pain. It not only enhances the mobility of joints but also reduces the dose of conventional anti-inflammatory drugs. Chondroitin Sulfate B (CSB) is abundant in the skin and it is also known as dermatan sulfate. Its inhibitory effects are exerted on secondary lymphoid tissue chemokine (SLC) through binding with C-terminus of SLC. Besides being found in the skin, Chondroitin Sulfate B (CSB) is also found in blood vessels, pulmonary connective tissues, tendons and heart valves. Till date, no serious side effects have been reported as far as chondroitin sulfate B (CSB) is concerned.

It is used for pain relief to those suffering from osteoarthritis of the knee. It is typically used when other pain relievers do not work.
